The goods are stewed in blackest ebony.
Escape is hopeless, caught and chained afresh.
Disease brings little death from agony
Composed by festered stench of flesh on flesh.
Few moments, freed up on the auction block,
Before white fields be soiled by whip and rape,
Can make amends as fickle owners mock
The weakened feints and protests of escape.
Yet, slaves are shipped by greedy few
To seize black fields away from turbaned fire
Pretending Stars and Stripes are colors true
As shrapneled lambs are fueling Allah’s ire.
The spoils of slave’ry are most magnified
When slaves assume they march in freedom’s stride.
