Martian Shores

Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams is cast
on lonely shores,
netted with forgotten things
all knotted from befores.

Apollo smelts those parchment wings
to a tangled skein
with ill-fated quills stiffly
bowed by capricious winds
on its pagan strands.

The hourglass keep of dreams
plucked from the ocean sky
is garnished by saline wash
and kept by Time
to its crusted pyre
for offering to the pillared ruins.

Those ghosted flames
and smoked embers
signal the fleet of sails
for an all out assault
on the beaches
of realities imagined.
