Dark rivers run past Eden’s shores
around that evil-luminned sword
held up by superstitious mores
and guaranteed by unborn lord.

They congregate in spiteful pools,
auspicious currents undertow,
and muddle lives of many fools
their feet sucked in subconscious flow.

They flood the cities, flood the plain,
bog down the streets and settled mind.
Imagined good – our mortal  stain.
Our truth –> alone <– the seeker’s find.

Accidental energies spring
from naught to now here,
flashing vibrations orbiting
the point of zero.

Pulsating expansions slow light
to the things that matter,
self-organizing into new creations.

This separation of energy
from matter allowed
those first thoughts,
then,
awareness.

And it saw that it was good.

longings for others brought forth
new experiments to life, here, there,
from the darkness.

Creation of multitudes of selves,
Wondrous, Marvelous,
yet, magnificently flawed,
unable to reach out,
communicate with themselves
or with the One that created,
unable to surmount
even self-imposed miseries.

Loneliness, Infinite,
feelings of failure
and guilt for tortured intelligence.

That Day, when the One
weighed itself against suffering,
and found itself wanting,

That Day,
the heavens shook,
the planets rumbled,
and the One began the universal
swallowing of itself,
back to the nothing
from which it came,

the oblivion.

Upon these rocks,
The fishing here
is great for the laid back.
The fish are slow,
lethargic and overly prone
to swim in concentric
circles.

Throw in the naked line
and draw it slowly in.
The most quick minded then
will feed upon the shine
of swearing, vain, divine.

The fishing here
is great for the laid back.
The fish are slow,
lethargic and overly prone
to swim in concentric
circles.

Throw in a baited line,
skip ‘cross the water’s rim.
Then the dullest of them
will leap out to the feat
of the catch and release,
The repeat and repeat.

The fishing here
is great for the laid back.
The fish are slow,
lethargic and overly prone
to swim in concentric
circles.

The heirs of fishermen have come
for this, the game most dangerw
to lure a new generation
with the rod and line imperious.

The fishing here
is great for the laid back.
The fish are slow,
lethargic and overly prone
to swim in concentric
circles.

“Is that a sly old cat,
Which grasps away by fin?
We just can’t have that!
This pond is to swim in,
the only one at that!
Hang that one
out to rot
in the sun.
Just three days, I think,
before that godly stink.”

The fishing here
is great for the laid back.
The fish are slow,
lethargic and overly prone
to swim in concentric
circles.
